Tbarcodes.pngPreparation Tips (optional):

  2. Create a "Report View"of "14-digit Equivalent of Shortened Item Barcode - Avery Label 5160" in "My Folder."
  3. "Set Properties" for the "Report View" stored in your folder.

** See videos or step-by-step guides at http://vlibrary.freshdesk.com for help with these preparation tips.

Option 1:  Print equivalent barcode(s) for selected item(s).

  1. Login to LS2 Reports and select your "Report View of 14-digit Equivalent of Shortened Item Barcode - Avery 5160 labels."
  2. If not already set, select appropriate information in field boxes.
  3. Scan (or type) "T" barcodes in "Enter Barcode(s) box.
  4. Important manual edit(s):  If there are any leading zeros between the "T" and the remaining barcode digits, you must manually delete all leading zeros.  For example (below), "T 01231" must be manually changed to "T1231".
  5. Click on "Insert -->" button to move barcodes to the "Choices" box.
  6. Click "Finish."
  7. Select download arrow, found at top, right section of the barcode pdf.
  8. When prompted, select "Open with">>"Adobe Acrobat Reader" or similar pdf reader.  Then click "OK."
  9. Print the pdf file from Adobe.  Make sure to choose the "Actual size" setting, under "Page Sizing and Handling."
  10. Place 14-digit barcode over shortened barcode OR replace 14-digit for shortened.
NOTE: Corresponding barcodes have the same series of digits at the end.  The 14-digit barcode will begin with 30xxx, where xx is your school's 3-digit code.  14-digit barcode format: (30xxx)(string of zeroes)(shortened barcode digits)

Option 2: Print equivalent barcodes in bulk.

  1. Open MS Excel, Google Sheets, or a similar spreadsheet.  You may make a copy of template "Print 14-digit  barcode equivalent in bulk template" and use it.
  2. Login to LS2 Reports and select your "Report View of 14-digit Equivalent of Shortened Item Barcode - Avery 5160 labels."
  3. If not already set, select appropriate information in field boxes.
  4. Copy and paste shortened barcode numbers into "Enter Barcode(s)" box.
  5. Continue from Step 5, above.
