Notifications for Sora Holds on Android or iOS

Have you placed a hold on an ebook in Sora only to miss the notification that it was available for you to checkout? If so, turn on the Holds notifications in the Sora app to be notified when a hold you placed is available to borrow.

The first time you place a hold, you'll be asked if you want to turn on notifications. You can also turn push notifications on at any time using these steps:

Enable Notification Instructions
Step 1: Tap menu. 
Step 2: Under "Notifications," turn Holds on.

Note: You may need to allow notifications in your device settings, too. Sora will prompt you if you need to make this change on your device.

Step 3:  Place a hold on a book.  When your hold is ready, a notification will display on your device

Step 4: Click on the notification or login to Sora and borrow the book.
