Seven (7) district-specific Google Groups:
g-ocid-libraries-central
g-ocid-libraries-hawaii
g-ocid-libraries-honolulu
g-ocid-libraries-kauai
g-ocid-libraries-leeward
g-ocid-libraries-maui
g-ocid-libraries-windward
Each district-specific Google Group includes librarians and designated staff from each of the specific schools in that district.
Although utilizing Google Groups makes communicating easier, here are a few best practices and reminders when utilizing the different G-OCID-Libraries groups.
Remember who is included in the Google Groups: The Google Groups include school librarians and other staff (including administrators if the school designated them as the school contact).
Be mindful of what you send: Only send library-related information. Do not send spam emails or emails that are not relevant to your audience. Send messages to the Google Group if it is something that many can benefit from.
If responding back, consider who the response is intended for: If responding back, click “REPLY” if you ONLY want to send a response to the person who sent the message. Click “REPLY ALL” if you want the WHOLE GROUP to get your response.
