How do I add the LS2 PAC URL or Search Box to my school library webpage?

Adding links to access the LS2 PAC and other online resources to your school library page is a vital step to ensuring your school community can easily access your library resources and materials.


Please use the instructions below to link/embed the LS2 PAC and LS2 Kids PAC on your own school library page or other web pages. This will allow your visitors to your webpage to directly search your school catalog. 


 

LS2 PAC

This will allow webpage visitors to search your school libraryʻs public access catalog of books and other materials.


How do I provide a direct URL to my school’s catalog in LS2 PAC?

Step 1:  Download the LS2 PAC graphic.

              


Step 2:  Create a link using the following base URL. https://library.k12.hi.us:8070/?config=default  

Step 3:  REPLACE the word "default" in the URL with the three (3) digit school number

              Example: 101 representing the LS2 PAC configuration for Ala Wai Elementary would look like https://library.k12.hi.us:8070/?config=101

Step 4:  Create a shortcut or set the workstation “home” using the modified URL in step 2.


LS2 Kids PAC

This will allow webpage visitors to browse your school library catalog of books and other materials through a visual interface.

Step 1:  Download the LS2 Kids PAC graphic, Scout.


Step 2:  Create a link using the following URL. https://library.k12.hi.us:8070/kids/?config=default

Step 3:  REPLACE the word "default" in the URL the three (3) digit school number

              Example: 101 representing the LS2 Kids configuration for Ala Wai Elementary would look like https://library.k12.hi.us:8070/kids/?config=101

How do I add the LS2 Kids PAC search box to my library or school website?


Step 1:     Add the LS2 Kids PAC Search Box code to the website.

Sora

This will allow webpage visitors to access thousands of e-books, audiobooks, and read-alongs from a computer or other electronic device. Students sign in with their 10-digit ID number. Employees sign in with their 8-digit employee number.

This will allow webpage visitors to log reading minutes and earn incentives in the statewide reading challenge.

Other School-Paid Resources

(World Book, Encyclopedia Britannica, Swank K-12, Buncee, etc.)


This will allow webpage visitors to access other resources that have been purchased by the school or library. Check with other educators and specialists at your school to ensure your list is comprehensive.


How do I link to other resources that are purchased by the school?


Step 1:  Find a graphic provided by the resource for download, or simply type the name of the purchased resource.

Step 2:  Add the link for each specific resource to the graphic or text box.

 

BROWSER POLICIES:

TLC’s web-based applications are developed and optimized for the following browser versions:

·       Chrome - Due to the accelerated rate at which updates are released, TLC will support the latest three versions.

·       Firefox - Due to the accelerated rate at which updates are released, TLC will support the latest three versions.

·       Internet Explorer - The latest two versions with a 12 month phase-out period will be supported.

·       Safari - The latest two versions will be supported.

Applications may continue to function in versions that are no longer supported, but TLC will only consider addressing issues that are present in the versions that are covered above.
